Community Involvement

Frank's involvement with the community of Thunder Bay is a reflection of his keen interest in being of service to others, which goes behind a professional interest. He truly cares about this community and its future; from the church, to the arts, to health care, to business organizations, to training boards, to technology and innovation, to economic development, to task force on poverty... and the list goes on.
As a Certified Management Accountant, Frank also brings a wealth of professional experience in his volunteer work with many worthwhile Not-for-Profit and community-based organizations.
Frank believes in education and in August 2010 completed his Master in Business Administration (MBA) at Lakehad University.
Below are just some of frank's involvement in the community.
Frank has been a director since 1999 and the Co-Chair of Business at the North Superior Workforce Planning Board.
On May 2011 he received the Province of Ontario 10-Year Volunteer Services Award for his contribution to the Planning Board and workforce development in Thunder Bay and region.

Councillor at Large for the City of Thunder Bay from 2014-2018 (Chair of Budget and Finance and Children and Youth Advocate), from 2006 to 2010 (Chair of the Audit Committee and Vice Chair of the Administrative Services Committee); and 1994-1997 (Director on the Economic Development Commission and Director on the Federation of Canadian Municipalities).

During 2004-05 the Directors matched $150,000 of the Arthur Mauro challenge to the Italian community of Thunder Bay and helped raise over $300,000 for the Advanced Technology Centre Building (ATAC) at Lakehead University.
